Tessa is a great instructor. Super thorough and knowledgable. She taught us about different types of paints, brushes, paper and how she draws her initial sketch. She also started the class with basic techniques.

Tessa made sure we all had support when we needed it. Having no experience with watercolours, I expected to be really bad at it, but the output (tiger painting) was surprisingly good. Tessa’s was incredible to learn from and great to see an artist bring their work to life. Definitely keen to do more of her workshops. It would also be a great gift for a partner/friend/family member. They fill up quite suddenly though so would recommend planning ahead and booking.

10/10 would recommend. I am definitely keen to try some more pieces myself. Included a pic of her incredible tiger as well as my one which still needs a few more details.

amazing class. Very informative on how to start with watercolours. The teacher is encouraging of all students, finding the posives in each persons work and helping them use those to make the final piece good.

Always found water colour daunting but Tessa broke it down into easy to understand exercises which led to painting a bluetit. It was a friendly, relaxed and encouraging environment. Would definitely recommend.

An excellent well thought out lesson where I learned basic techniques and then afterwards these were applied in completing a painting. As soon as I got home my wife insisted on putting it in a frame and it is on display in our living room! I heartily and unreservedly recommend this course.

As the title says, Tessa is an excellent teacher and taught the basics of watercolouring in a way which we could quickly learn and practice in our afternoon project. I really appreciated the creative independence that was encouraged, with just the right amount of supervision to help if we encountered any difficulties without interfering with our vision for the painting.

An absolutely beautiful print and great quality. I love the colours and the subtle night sky elements - overall it just has such a lovely, serene, slightly haunting feel to it. It's going to be a fantastic addition to my gallery wall.

I attended an introduction to watercolour with Rayn and Cait and I loved the whole thing. My past experience with watercolour was just painting with it like I would with acrylics, and that doesn't work! TKeh was so lovely, taking time to show us how watercolour works and helping us one-to-one when we needed it. I learned so much, and it's given me confidence to be much more relaxed and experimental with the medium. You'll definitely want to paint more!

This was such an excellent workshop, excellent value for money, such a lovely morning of creativity that I'd absolutely love to do again. Such a lovely welcoming host with advice for all levels or artist, knowledgeable and friendly with a positive attitude, I was given the freedom to try my own way of interpreting the advice given and also given really great direction that I've already seen improve my work
